<image:title>Events - Psychedelics and PTSD (Part 2) : MDMA - We have Dr Ben Sessa to thank for such a powerful evocation of the impact of childhood trauma and the role of attachment experiences in influencing mental health throughout life. Ben also gave an honest and pragmatic evaluation about the false divide between disorders, psychedelic treatments and the various substances.</image:title>

<image:title>Events - Psychedelics and PTSD (Part 2) : MDMA - To say thanks for our speakers and spend some time chatting with some our OEV community members who stayed back, after the event we popped round the corner to a local pub. I also got a chance to chat with Rupert Scriven's Dad (Rupert is the author of the The Art of Ecstasy and kindly provided the art for event .</image:title>

<image:title>Events - Psychedelics and PTSD (Part 2) : MDMA - And to wrap up, ex community Met Police Officer Julia Ryland, chatted with Neil Woods and explained how she went in to the Police to help people but despite recognising the futility of criminalising vulnerable people, over minor drug offences, she quickly realised the culture, rewards and politics mean that more often she was doing harm rather than good.</image:title>

<image:title>Events - Psychedelics and PTSD (Part 2) : MDMA - If you get a chance, you really need to hear this story. It's a journey in which Akua had to first deal with her own issues and spend a lot of time re-attaching with her son, repairing their relationship before she could even begin her attempts to bring him out of the county lines operation he'd been groomed into.</image:title>

<image:caption>Diane Goldstein Executive Director of LEAP US joined us live from California to eloquently express the urgency of finding treatments to prevent issues amongst police officers, such as problematic substance use, family breakdown and spill over violence. The discussion with Diane also exposed how the UK's binary, centralised policy-making system and lack of local democratic options are limiting reform of drug policy, compared to the US.</image:caption>

<image:title>Events - Psychedelics and PTSD (Part 1) - Simon Ruffell and Grace Blest-Hopley from Heroic Hearts added balanced and insightful perspectives on psychedelics and their potential both for PTSD therapy and for treatment of traumatic brain injury. Both made a persuasive and compassionate case to back Heroic Hearts Project UK's work in supporting Veterans and Emergency Services workers and questioned why more isn't being done already, given the scale of the issue.</image:title>

<image:title>Events - Psychedelics and PTSD (Part 1) - A massive thank you to everyone who attended Psychedelics and PTSD (Part 1) and helped make the event such a success. It was a real privilege to host, see and hear about connections made and stories shared beyond those on the stage.</image:title>
<image:caption>Immense thanks go to our speakers who all provided vital insight and powerful stories. Thanks also to Neil - pictured - for your ability to weave all the threads into a compelling narrative. People are not only being harmed, on both sides of the war of drugs, they are also being prevented from accessing potential transformative therapies. Policy needs to change.</image:caption>

<image:caption>PSALON-1 are super grateful to Nadia Van Der Heyden of Psygen for her measured dose of realism live from BC, Canada.
